Trinity Western University President Jonathan Raymond says the economic crisis facing one of Canada’s well known religious institutions faces a potentially fatal situation. Speaking in Christian Week, he says the recession has cost the University 600 US students since he took over in 2006. 54 staff will be laid off. 85% of the school revenue comes from tutition which is the most expensive in Canada. 3.65 million dollars is cut back in the budget. Programs will be merged. The piece goes on to look at the concerns of seminaries, protestant universities and colleges across Canada.
