Brad Trost, MP for Saskatoon-Humboldt actually lists the Cross Party Pro Life Caucus as one of his responsibilities/activities as an MP… so at least he thinks its official and not a secret.

The information is much appreciated. The “secrecy” must surely come from the fear of being judged and put in a box, put under a microscope or magnifying glass and getting burned.

Thanks Joyce, Dave and others did the heavy lifting on this.

I see the thinking about being secret flawed. if elected officials believe being in a secret caucus serves the public, I have to question that reasoning.

I’m not sure where the fear comes from, at best I could only speculate. I see no logic in the reasoning offered for secrecy.

I wish we could have a civil and open conversation with a Member about why they choose to hide.

What I attempted to do what show Campaign Life isn’t being ignored as much as not getting the outcry or flood of attention the group seems to want.

Thanks for commenting; I hadn’t realized that was part of where the coalition’s numbers were already being drawn from.

In terms of speakers for this year – we should be hearing soon, as religious media reports come up. Normally there’s at least one list of who was present.

Thanks so much Bene Diction for these wonderful and informative blogs! You’re so right in saying (yesterday) that they have no business remaining secretive when they are trying to change public policy, against their party’s and often constituents’ wishes. It is a subversive and illegimate caucus.

Btw, the “designated anti-choice 2004/6/8″ category includes those who attended marches. But I haven’t looked yet at the ones who attended this year’s.
