On top of every other distortion of homosexuality, the most evil one is the myth that this orientation implies pedophilia. Records and statistics would dispute this rather bizarre fantasy. The largest number of actual pederasts are HETEROSEXUALS. Speak to many of the victims and you will find that it was an uncle,grandfather, family friend or neighbor, the least obvious perpetrator who was “normal” in the eyes of those around them, who in fact is a child molester, be it of girls or boys. It is simple to demonize those who may be different and to appeal to the meanest of instincts. This was something that Hitler understood all too well and the world is aware of the result. This strategy of the religious/conservative right to using untruths and distortions of facts is a danger to the life and values that we value as Canadians. “It couldn’t happen in Canada” is also a myth and everyone who values our nation needs to be on guard.

Pedophilia, is not a sexual orientation. It is a crime, like rape, where one criminal is forceful, and the victmn is an innocent child being subject to a terrifying and traumatizing sexual abuse. Homosexuality is the mutual partnership or two concenting people, who are physically, and or emotionally attracted to each other. How people can’t see this is beyond me.

You see, in the midst of the bill that would grant equality to gay people….”

Wait a minute. Wouldn’t protecting sexual orientation from discrimination equally grant equality to pederast people? Why would you stress the equality of one sexual orientation and not another?

Are you for equality and an end to discrimination or are you not?

And, if a teacher was teaching the equality of pederasty, would you or would you not be in favour of exercising your authority as a parent to opt out of such misguided instruction?
